Tired of waiting for Friday all the time…?
...then the Buchau camping island in Lake Staffelsee is just right for you. Here you can relax all week from Monday to Sunday from April to October. The good thing about it: You don't have to feel lonely because our idyllic beer garden and the inviting guest room offer plenty of opportunities for pleasant company with food and drink from the region.
However, if you prefer to admire the sunrise over Lake Staffelsee alone, just like Robinson Crusoe, you can also enjoy that completely undisturbed. There are no cars or caravans here, just as there is no hustle and bustle or everyday stress.
This does not mean that you have to be washed ashore like a castaway; the “Fischerin” sails to us from Seehausen every 80 minutes during the high season.
But there is also a lot on offer for little explorers. Our camping island is a nature reserve, where you are sure to come across one or two creatures that you don't recognize at home. And the whole thing is completely risk-free.
Overall, our small spot on earth offers space for 130 permanent campers and 150 additional places for spontaneously decided short-term campers
