Description campsite

In the small town of Kitzingen, about 20 minutes east of Würzburg, the Schiefer Turm campsite is located directly on the banks of the Main River. It is run by the owners, the Hartmann family. All pitches are equipped with electricity connections and are located on a light meadow with isolated deciduous trees. Some campers can enjoy pitches with a direct view of the water. A small facility allows boat enthusiasts to launch canoes, kayaks and motorboats into the water and sail across the Main directly from the site. A small restaurant on the campsite caters for the physical well-being of holidaymakers. In addition, Kitzingen is known for its Franconian wines; the oldest wine cellar in Germany is located here and is definitely worth a visit. The Carnival Museum also attracts many visitors to Kitzingen city centre. Adventurous holidaymakers will find the Schiefer Turm campsite to be a perfect starting point for beautiful hikes and bike tours along the Main. A cycling map available at reception shows over 90 kilometers of cycle paths in the surrounding area. Just a stone's throw from the campsite there is also an indoor swimming pool with a sauna area. Entry to the indoor pool is free for 2 hours for stays of 2 nights or more.
