Description campsite

The Lichtenberg campsite is open all year round and is located in the heart of the Franconian Forest and is recommended by both the ADAC and the DCC. There are around 190 pitches for permanent campers and tourists on the 2.7 hectare site, with each plot measuring 70-100 square metres. All pitches are also connected to electricity and water supplies. The sanitary facilities, housed in a heated building, consist of ten toilets, eight showers and an individual shower cubicle. Furthermore, camping guests have access to four dishwashing sinks, two laundry sinks and a washing machine. The sports facilities on site include a beach volleyball court and a table tennis table. After just a few minutes' walk you can reach the Frankenwaldsee, where swimming is permitted at your own risk, as well as a children's playground. Shops and restaurants are about 1.5 kilometers away. There are numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area and it is worth visiting the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Stollen show mine.
