Description campsite
Country holiday in a beautiful, quiet and slightly hilly location between Hechlingen am See and Hahnenkammsee (250m) in the Franconian Hahnenkamm. Well-maintained, parceled and sufficiently large lawns await you. These are surrounded by hedges and offer sun or shade, depending on the pitch. A clean, heated and functional sanitary building is at your disposal. In addition, there are meadow areas with terraces for groups and clubs with tents. Campfires are allowed here. Additional sanitary facilities complete the offer. Drinks vending machine and bread roll service during peak holiday periods. Hikers, pilgrims and cyclists can use a good, extensive network of paths for their activities. Maps are available in the office. The Hahnenkammsee with bathing bay, kiosk, pedal boat rental and beach (well developed for small children) can be reached in about 8 minutes on foot. It is ideal with dogs, as there are no long walks in the surrounding area. There are small and large towns to discover in the nearby Donau-Ries holiday region, the Altmühltal Nature Park and the Franconian Lake District. The Romantic Road also attracts visitors with its castles and palaces. You can sample Franconian and down-to-earth cuisine in the country inns.
