Description campsite

The Rußweiher campsite, located just outside Eschenbach on the northern bank of the Kleiner Rußweiher lake in the middle of the gentle Upper Palatinate hills, is the ideal starting point for excursions and hikes in the surrounding area, for example to the Speinshart monastery or the Rauher Kulm basalt cone. In total, there are 153 parking spaces on the 2.5 hectare site, each of which is at least 80 square meters in size and has electricity and water connections as well as wastewater disposal. Young people can also use a camping area. The main building not only contains the sanitary facilities including a washing machine, but also a kiosk and a small snack bar. The nearest grocery store is about one kilometer from the campsite. The Rußweiher lake plays an important role in leisure activities: it is ideal for fishing almost all year round. There are also rental boats available and even small children can swim safely on the gently sloping, sandy shore. Last but not least, the campsite has a playground and a common room with a pool table.
